Psalm 8:4 “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?.”
Indeed we saw this scripture come to pass from 16th – 18th of September, 2011 in our recently concluded mission. In the hills of Kashari in Mbarara district in Western Uganda lies a place called Itara. It was a moment of visitation by the awesome presence of God in this land as our feet touched the ground. We were hosted by an incredible church called Bethel Community Church under Pr. Joseph Bataringaya.
DAY 1:
We started our ministry in this land by a reach out to Rwansinga High School and beloved, God blessed those students who had been waiting the whole day to receive from the Lord. We then had a Miracle crusade that same evening. It was amazing how the people stayed in waiting to hear from the Lord and receive their miracles up to 11:30pm.
One remarkable occurrence on that evening crusade was of a certain young man who the host Church had been paying for school fees, and when the Pastor found him one time in a trading center drinking alcohol, he run away from the Church. But thank God for this crusade, when an alter call was made, he was the first to come and receive the Lord. The church is actually ready to resume paying his fees if he is willing to go back to school. When we talk about impacting lives by the power of the Gospel, this is what we mean. A total of six precious souls returned to the Lord that evening.
The missioners then had a meeting with Pr. Joseph Bataringaya after the crusade where we introduced ourselves to each other, and the Pastor shared with us what the Lord has been doing in the ministry. The man of God is building a city in this land called Living Hope City. Brethren, we realized that as believers, we should go where the need is and not where the resources are. Very import. This is what is happening with this church, they are very much impacting that land with the power of the gospel.
DAY 2:
This was another glorious day where we had door-to-door evangelism up to 3:30pm. The Lord's presence was in the land and 30 precious souls came to the Lord. In this door-to-door ministry, we met a brother who was suffering from paralysis for three weeks and as a result, could not move. The power of God was present to heal and the man was able to sit up, stand up and walk. Glory to the Lord. We were not able to have the evening crusade due to heavy rains that whole evening.
DAY 3:
This was another day of swimming in the Lord's presence. We had a leaders’ service in the morning and it was a moment of impacting the leaders. We the had three sessions which were: Children, Teenagers and adults sessions. These different groups of believers were inspired and enriched spiritually. We then had the service which went up to 3:30pm. The people could not move away because of the power which is in the preaching of the word of faith into the people. Various people received their healing and prophetic words by the leading of the Spirit of the Lord.
All in all beloved, it was a moment of visitation to the land of Itara and we return all the glory to the Lord. I just want to appreciate all those who prayed with us and stood with us in any way to see that multitudes receive the life of God in this land. Thank you friends. By the leading of the Lord, we are launching deeper in seeing that many receive the impact of the Gospel of truth. Pray with us and you are welcome to join us in this great cause.
Yours in the father's harvest field,
